[NSFW] Regional Sports Network Shows Fake Cubs Mascot in All His Drawn Glory

When Comcast Sportsnet Washington aired a story about the Chicago Cubs new mascot, someone forgot to ask why he wasn’t wearing any pants and why the team would render his genitalia in such frightening detail.

The image was actually from a contest Deadspin held inviting readers to “Do Something Horrible to the Cubs’ New, Perverted Mascot [NSFW].”

According to the site, Gawker art director Jim Cooke started everyone off. Then Comcast showed it to its viewers.

NBC Stations to Sell Advertising for Comcast Regional Sports Networks

NBC stations are about to become more entwined with Comcast’s regional sports networks.

NBCUniversal announced today that its local stations will begin selling national advertising for four Comcast SportsNets.  The sales partnership will be phased in over the next several months, with local NBC stations beginning to sell advertising for Comcast’s New England and Mid-Atlantic networks this month, followed by Northwest at the end of May and Philadelphia at the end of June.
