Alexa Helms Joins Miami’s WSVN

Alexa Helms has joined Miami FOX affiliate WSVN as a general assignment reporter.

Helms, who left the NBC and CBS affiliates KTSM-KDBC in El Paso, TX in August, was a weekend anchor and reporter.

She is best known for her seven-month investigative series on Hispanic students being forced out of a high school in the El Paso Independent School District.  The series launched and investigation by both the FBI and the U.S. Department of Education.

Keagan Harsha, Nichole Ayoub Join KDBC-KTSM

KDBC-KTSM in El Paso is welcoming one new anchor, Keagan Harsha, and one returning anchor, Nichole Ayoub, to the newsroom.

Harsha joins the stations after five years at WCAX in Burlington, while Ayoub makes a return to the station after leaving two years ago after her three sons were born.

According to a statement announcing the hires, the new additions will “mean some changes for KTSM and KDBC as the stations move to take the newscasts in new directions.” Read more
