On the Move, 1/25/13

Andrea Fujii has joined KCBS in Los Angeles as a freelance reporter. Previously, Fujii was a reporter and fill-in anchor at WJZ in Baltimore.

After three years as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KOCO in Oklahoma City, Carla Wade joins WFAA in Dallas as a weekend evening anchor and reporter.

Shelley Walcott joins WMUR in Manchester from WTMJ in Milwaukee. At WMUR, Walcott will be the primary anchor.

Jeff Vaughn returns to Detroit, joining WXYZ as an auto and business reporter as well as anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast. Vaughn comes from San Antonio, where he was the primary anchor at KENS.

Miami native Sheldon Fox returns to his hometown, joining WSVN as a general assignment reporter. Fox was previously the weekend evening anchor and crime reporter for WGNO in New Orleans. Read more

Shelley Walcott to Join WMUR as Anchor

WTMJ reporter and weekend anchor Shelley Walcott has announced she will be leaving the Milwaukee NBC affiliate for WMUR in New Hampshire.

Walcott announced the move to the Manchester ABC affiliate on her twitter page saying, “Hi all: Wanted to announce I am leaving TMJ4 at the end of next week. Have accepted a main anchor job in New Hampshire. Bittersweet day!”

Steve Wexler, executive vice president of the Journal Broadcast Group told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, “Shelley is a very talented anchor and reporter, we’re going to miss her, but we are also very excited for her. She’ll be the main anchor on her new station and closer to her family.” Read more
