Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field required; minimum 2 years of writing and editing experience in a news, media, or publishing environment, with published bylines (including clips) required; superior written and verbal communication skills required; clear personal initiative and strong ability to multitask required; strong skills in collaboration and ability to meet deadlines required; familiarity with a personal computer required; proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office required; Master's degree preferred; experience in copywriting and social media preferred; experience in higher education preferred; experience with Project Management Software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Social Media Analytic Software preferred.
About Our Company The writer creates content for Pepperdine communication channels aimed at supporting and elevating the Pepperdine brand, building reputation, and strengthening affinity. The writer seeks to identify compelling Pepperdine stories and envisions new ways to communicate them across media.

DUTIES: Develop, write, and publish content across Pepperdine e-communication channels, both internal and external; develop, write, and promote content for Pepperdine's flagship publications, especially Pepperdine Magazine; contribute to and participate in major University Communications initiatives, including advertising campaigns and social media strategy; uphold University mission through work performed; perform other duties as assigned.
