Double Rainbow Guy Stays Relevant Thanks to Vodafone

We may never know how much acid Double Rainbow Guy is on, but we do know that things in pairs continue to make this guy tweak out.

Like Microsoft, Vodafone is leveraging Double Rainbow Guy’s somewhat dwindling fame (was he really that on the other side of the world?) and launching its new “Double Back” deal which, if you can understand the quick-talking chat at the end of the commercial, has something do to with pre-paid plans over $10 during the month of February. But, never mind that. Double stream! Woo!

Okay, so maybe New Zealand-based Colenso BBDO’s use of DRG (real name: Paul “Bear” Vasquez) detracts from whatever sort of credit-back deal thing Vodafone is trying to advertise. But, planting the mythical man in Kiwi country and keeping him tripping face long enough to shoot a 60-second spot must have been enough of a challenge in itself. Also, double yolks! Woo!
