140 Best Twitter Feeds Of 2013 According To TIME

Humblebragging is in full effect on Twitter today, with the release of TIME’s 2013 list of the best Twitter feeds. It’s a curious compilation full of worthwhile folks you’ll want to follow.

And here they are!

Pulling together this list was no easy task, certainly. According to TIME, it involved consulting with TIME editors in every field “from politics and sports to technology and entertainment [to compile] a list of Twitter feeds that stand out for their humor, knowledge and personality.”

Here are this year’s categories:

  • Activists
  • Art & Photography
  • Business & Finance
  • Celebrities
  • Comedy
  • Culture Critics
  • Fashion & Beauty
  • Food
  • Health & Family
  • Informers
  • Politics
  • Science
  • Sports
  • Tech

The comedy list is the place to go first, FYI. Or just follow @meganamram – she’s hilarious (and on the list).

One curious thing to note: Although various reports cite more women using Twitter or, at the very least, an even split, the list does not reflect this reality – and that’s really too bad. Maybe some of Romney’s folks can do some binder research ahead of the next list?

To be fair, they do provide a disclaimer that the list is not comprehensive – how could it be, really? Twitter is the world’s fastest growing social platform! But maybe you can help them out by tweeting suggestions using the #Twitter140 hashtag.

Check out the list and see for yourself. And if you want to compare it against previous years’ winners, here you go! And finally, if you want to check out some other handy lists, we have lots. Our AllTwitterLister series will help you figure out who to follow.

Do you know anybody on the list? Are YOU on it?
