Apple Is Twitter’s Everything [VIDEO]

In his 1:1 at All Things D this week, Twitter’s CEO was asked about his (Twitter’s) interactions with other tech companies. Are they friends?

Spoiler alert! No.

But Apple is different, Apple is . . . Twitter’s everything.

Costolo doesn’t say he hates Facebook’s face and Google’s “we own search and will one day rise up and subjugate you” mentality, but you can sense it. And he offers a telling (as they always are) Freudian slip when he describes their interactions in the context of “driving wedges” – so there.

But Apple? Oh, Twitter LOVES Apple. Why? Apple is a mentor company to the microblogging platform. Apple offers a simplicity of design that Twitter wishes to emulate. And Twitter plans to be just like Apple when it’s all growed up.

Don’t believe me? Take a listen – it’s all right there. Oh and Costolo may seem a little edgy in this video, but that’s only because he’s probably expecting comments like this:

Here he is, Dick Costolo, destiny destroyer:
