Have You Seen The “Twitter Movie” Trailer Yet? [VIDEO]

“I want to create a way to blog that is as random and incoherent as writing on a bathroom wall,” says a floppy-haired, glassy-eyed creative type… and so Twitter is born. Well, not really, but in the alternate universe of “The Twit Movie”, that’s how the 140-character goodness began. If you haven’t seen this parody trailer, you’ve got to check it out for a few laughs!

This trailer is, of course, parodying “The Social Network”. From the minds of Rated Awesome, the trailer shows the rise of Twitter as a way to battle blogging – which leads to fully formed ideas, a bad thing in the mind of the unnamed Twitter creator.

It chronicles the genesis of the idea (at a table in a trendy looking bar with a critical girl which will look awfully familiar to anyone who has seen The Social Network), and the trials and tribulations that the creators go through as the idea of 140-character, narcissistic exchanges is constantly questioned as being completely and utterly useless.

Take a look at the trailer below if you’re in the mood for a fun diversion. While it might not be laugh-out-loud funny, it does take a stab at the heart of Twitter and might put some of us Twitter aficionados on the defensive.
