“He sees you when you’re sleeping,
He knows when you’re awake,
He knows if you’ve been bad or good…”
So tweet good for goodness sake!
Bad grammar aside, you’d better watch what you tweet this holiday season, because Santa isn’t content to just watch you while you sleep – he’s reading your tweets and putting you in the “naughty” or “nice” list based on your 140-character musings.
Do you deserve a glowing cache of presents under the tree? Or a dull lump of coal in your stocking?
A new website called Social Santa will tell you whether you’ve been naughty or nice on Twitter this year.
My own score was pretty tame – I apparently only swore once in the analyzed tweets (and to be fair, the tweet they pulled was referencing “Dick Costolo”, so I think Santa’s contextual analysis needs a bit of work!).
There does appear to be more naughtiness than niceness going on on Twitter. 75,473 tweeters are getting a lump of coal this year, while just 62,911 are going to get gifts.
You can give it a try for yourself over at Social Santa – are you naughty or nice?
