Socialbakers, the social media analytics company, announced a $2 million funding round yesterday, and have celebrated this event with the launch of a new infographic which measures the popularity of the top users and brands across Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn.
As regular readers of AllTwitter will know, Lady Gaga reigns supreme amongst individual users on Twitter, but her little monsters are only good enough to place her third on Facebook, behind fellow music superstars Eminem and Rihanna. Gaga isn’t on Google+ at all, which is still dominated by tech celebrities such as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
Amongst brands, Coca Cola ranks number one on Facebook (above Disney and Starbucks), but it’s the Whole Foods Market who holds the crown on Twitter, with Starbucks and Threadless rounding out the top three.
The infographic also looks at the leading industries, places and countries in social media.
