Twitter, Facebook Oscar Predictions (And Why We Should Be Grateful Fans Can’t Vote) [INFOGRAPHIC]

Who would take home the 2013 Oscars if the winners were determined wholly by social media?

Well, according to Twitter and Facebook, and looking at nominees ranked by shares, Hugh Jackman would win Best Actor for Les Miserables and Jennifer Lawrence would bag Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, which would also be crowned Best Picture.

However, if social media users really had their way, the winners of choice would be very different indeed… and haven’t even been nominated at all.

Yep, you guessed it. The latest Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn Part 2, was far and away the most popular movie of 2012 with social media fans, and would comfortably win the Best Picture Oscar if these same fans were allowed to vote.

So, let’s just be grateful that they can’t. In the meantime, check the infographic below for more insights and social media predictions for this year’s Oscars.
