Would You Attend Traffic School On Twitter?

Traffic school isn’t traditionally the most exciting class for new drivers and those who need a refresher – but it’s a necessary part of public safety.

In order to make things more interesting, Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) moved class from a four-walled, windowless room to the virtual classroom of Twitter.

As Global News reports, the @SGITweets Twitter account tweeted hundreds of educational tweets this past Saturday.

The SGI made the interactive online class interesting by sharing road safety facts and tips:

They also tweeted some pop quiz-type questions to get students to engage:

And they assigned virtual “homework” for the class as it drew to a close:

The tweets were sent live during SGI’s Graduated Driver’s Licensing Improvement program, which monitors the records of drivers in the program who have been found at-fault for a collision or who have received traffic convictions.
