Back in February, Twitter finally rolled out its Windows Phone app update after months of agonizing anticipation.
And this week, the Twitter for Windows app gets another update – but this time, it boasts a feature that no other Twitter app has.
Windows Phone users can now view Vine videos in-stream in the official Twitter app.
Pretty nifty – and fitting with the Lead Generation Cards functionality recently released that enables user signups in-app. More and more, Twitter is recognizing the desired ease of taking actions without leaving the app for another one.
Windows users can now also apply filters to and do basic editing of photos before uploading them to Twitter, a feature added to the Android and iPhone apps in December.
Since there is still no official Instagram app for Windows, it seems like Twitter might be taking advantage of that hole to beef up its own audiovisual muscle. And with Windows’ tile functionality, it’s a pretty snazzy platform for photo display.
If you’re one of the more than 200 million users of the Twitter for Windows app, let us know what you think of the update.
