Vine For Windows To Roll Out Later This Year

Itchy-fingered Windows Phone users can set their countdown clocks: Vine is finally coming to the Windows platform later this year.

Not only that: owners of Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphones will have a Lumia-customized Vine experience.

Mashable reports, per Chris Weber, head of global sales and marketing for Nokia, that the app on Nokia Lumia phones will have full integration with the device’s 41-megapixel camera.

In contrast, social apps on Android and iOS often lack all the abilities of the device’s built-in camera app.

Windows Phone Twitter users can already view Vine videos in-stream in the official Twitter app, a feature that rolled out last month.

There is also an unofficial Vine app for Windows called 6Sec, currently in private beta.

An official release date for Vine on Windows has not been announced.
