Harry Potter eBooks Now Available To Borrow From Kindle

All seven Harry Potter eBooks are now available to borrow for free from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library. The service is available to Amazon Prime members. This includes the English, French, Italian, German and Spanish versions of the books. The news was announced in May, and the books are available as of today.

J.K. Rowling has come a long way on the eBook front. After avoiding the digital book world for some time, last year the author announced that she would release eBook editions of her popular series through the creation of Pottermore.com, an online destination for all things Harry Potter. The site took longer to launch than was expected and required some redesigns based on feedback from fans who had used the service in beta. Then in March 2012, the Harry Potter eBooks finally arrived.

At the same time, the eBooks first hit libraries and became available for check out through a partnership with OverDrive. After only being on the list for a few days in March, the eBooks broke check out records.
