Esquire turns 75 this fall and is flourishing under the editorship of
David Granger, scoring seven ASME nominations in 2007. His mag is targeted to
"men who are a little more ambitious, a little more curious, a little more
engaged," says articles editor David Katz, and features some of the most
engaging and aggressive feature writing in the business today. Esquire
relies heavily on both contract writers and freelancers to fill both the FOB and
the feature well, and editors are "always looking for new writers with strong
