Detained Current TV reporter Euna Lee was on her first overseas assignment when she was detained in North Korea, Lee's husband Michael Saldate (pictured above, right) told Larry King Live last night.

Saldate was appearing with Lisa Ling, sister of the other detained Current TV reporter Laura Ling; the Lings' parents, Mary and Doug; and Laura's husband, Iain Clayton.

After Lisa, a former co-host of The View and currently a reporter for National Geographic Explorer, spoke about how both she and her sister are passionate journalists, King turned to Saldate.

King: Is Euna a committed journalist too?

Saldate: Yeah... she's more of an editor.

King: Travels a lot?

Lisa Ling: This was her first overseas assignment.

King: Where did she work before this?

Saldate: In an editing room.
