Internships can be a great resume builder, but what can you really expect when you accept that unpaid (or almost unpaid) position? How do you get an internship when you have no experience? Whether interning for a magazine, television station, website, or publishing house, your internship can be a great learning experience -- if you know how to use it to its full potential. Maybe you are one of the lucky few who end your summer with a byline or credit, but even if you don't get to see your name in print, there are a ton of things to take away from the experience.

In this panel, hear directly from the people hiring and overseeing interns what to expect, and how to take advantage of your internship. Can you ask for more responsibilities? How many internships should you have? When is it ok to ask for a reference? Or a job? Can you ask to be reimbursed for travel? An internship is an investment in your future -- but only if you know how to make the most of it.

Panelists will include:

--Steve Bryant, editor, Thrillist.com
--Katie Curcio, intern coordinator, CBS News
--Joy Peskin, senior editor, Penguin Group USA
--Kimberly Tranell, associate editor, Seventeen Magazine
--Jessica Eule (moderator), Associate Director of Education, mediabistro.com
