FishbowlDC is a gossip blog that focuses on D.C. media. It is written by Patrick W. Gavin.
Patrick W. Gavin co-authors The Washington Examiner's "Yeas & Nays" column. Previously he served as a writer and media relations officer at the Brookings Institution, a non-partisan public policy think tank located in Washington. From 2000 to 2003, Gavin taught 7th and 8th grade History and English at Princeton Day School in New Jersey.
Gavin's writing has appeared in such publications as the Financial Times, Washington Post, National Public Radio, ESPN's Page 2, Miami Herald, The Hill, Christian Science Monitor, The American Prospect, TomPaine.com, Outlook India, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Birmingham Times, Tages-Anzeiger (Switzerland), Newark Star-Ledger, McSweeneys, San Francisco Call, CounterPunch Magazine, Ironminds, History News Network, Washington Examiner, Hartford Advocate, Newhouse Wire Services and Lost Brain. He is currently working on a book about the events of September 10, 2001, tentatively titled, "The Day Before."
