What's your opinion of New York City? It's my hometown.I absolutely love it. Walking through Central Park, the carousel, Broadway, Little Italy, Pizza, Katz delicatessen.

What's your favorite letter? Q. I always feel sorry for Q. It's rarely used. I always root for the underdog. That's why I'm a huge Mets fan.

What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? First, my wife because I wouldn't have even applied for certain jobs without her not to mention her putting up with the long hours. After that, it's a tie: Ed Sardella, KUSA-TV anchor. He toughened me up, made me a better writer. Dave Lougee, former News Director at KUSA challenged me to be more creative, using graphics to tell a story. I've never forgotten.

Have you ever downloaded a podcast? If so, which one? I have but it's so infrequent I can't even remember which one.

Who's your all-time favorite American Idol candidate? Rueben. he was cool and humble.

When's the last time you volunteered? Where? The Saturday before Thanksgiving at Mclean Bible Church helping stuff boxes full of food for underprivaledged families.

Who is your favorite active journalist? There are so many good ones. Another tie: No suck up here but both are good friends, but even better journalists: Tom Costello and Kevin Corke from NBC News. Great succinct writers, cool on the live shots and extremely hard working.

What did you have for breakfast? Oatmeal and a bannana. What a winning combination. High in fiber!

What's your favorite item of clothing? I have very sensitive feet so I'd have to say socks. Is that too much personal information to release? Oh, wait, it's a blog! Anything goes!

What one toiletry item could you not live without? Toothpaste. Enough said right?

If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? Flying like Superman because this way I could always go first class and save the company some money.

Better role model: GIJoe? Barbie? Barbie. She may look beautiful but she has clearly advanced farher than GI Joe. It's not just her looks, it's her brains as well. I mean, she's like the doll version of Mary Kate and Ashley!
