Beach, city or country? Started out city, now it's all about the country.

Would you say you're cute? Pretty? Hot? Beautiful? Fierce in the most fabulous sense of the word.

How many emails do you receive a day, roughly? Several hundred. I stopped counting about a week into starting my job at the Web site 8 years ago.

What's your opinion of New York City? Love it but not enough to ever live there again.

What's your favorite letter? Never thought about it, but upon reflection, any that allow me to use it in a text message in place of a word.

What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? My grandfather, who encouraged me to challenge authority.

Who's your all-time favorite American Idol candidate? Not a loyal viewer of the show, but from what I've seen, that Tamara Gray can "sang."

When's the last time you volunteered? Where? Currently volunteering with the community services ministry at my church.

Who is your favorite active journalist? Too many to name, but they all work at my current or previous places of employment. What can I say, I'm biased.

What did you have for breakfast? A breakfast wrap from Camille's.

What's your favorite item of clothing? Jeans.

What one toiletry item could you not live without? deodorant, no toothpaste, no deodorant...

If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? The power to create whatever power I need at the time. It’s all about multitasking.

Better role model: GIJoe? Barbie? Are you kidding? Barbie (and her various personas). She's not just a cute face in a swimsuit anymore. She hails from many countries and has had many careers. She's a fashion diva, a doctor, a princess, an actress, a race car driver, a soldier -- to name a few. She's even found some work-life balance. Okay, I have to go now. I'm scaring myself.
