"I do think that the quality which makes a man want to write and be read is essentially a desire for self-exposure and is masochistic. Like one of those guys who has a compulsion to take his thing out and show it on the street." - James Jones

Megyn Kendall: The Fishbowl DC Interview

kendall.jpgWe usually only do one of these a week, but we had to make an exception for one of this week's hot reporters: Fox News' Megyn Kendall.

What's your opinion of New York City? Love it and hate it in equal degrees.

What's your favorite letter? X -- it's not only a letter, it's occasionally a legal signature and can even be used to abbreviate the word "sometimes" (= somex). Multifunctional. Love that.

Who is your favorite active journalist? Brit Hume. The man truly knows everything about everything.

Have you ever downloaded a podcast? If so, which one? no.

When's the last time you volunteered? Where? Last month. Pro bono legal work w/my dusty ol' law license.

What time did you get up this morning? 6am, but that is very unlike me. I'm considering a nap right now.

More when you click below...

What word do you routinely misspell? Prairie. Do I have it right there? It's a tricky little thing.

Did you see Brokeback Mountain? Yep.

How many suits do you own? About 30. But that's thanks to Fox.

How many emails do you receive a day, roughly? 75?

Did you see The Da Vinci Code? Nope. Read the book though.

What's the name of your cell phone ring? I'm sorry to say it's: "provincial," a sound I like but quality I don't.

What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? Henry Ford, who said: "If you think you can do a thing, or think you can't do a thing, you’re right."

Beach, city or country? City. Beach leads to cancer. Country's fun for a day and then a yawn. City is busy and dirty and crazy and yet so much fun.

If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? I would fly to my heart's content.

When did you last cry and why? Tuesday, and no way am I telling.

Which of the seven deadly sins are you? Lust. (Don't believe in Envy. Anger's a waste of time. Gluttony's for those w/no self-control. Greed and Pride aren't too awful I suppose, but Sloth is for those who don't realize you only go around once.)

Would you say you're cute? Pretty? Hot? Beautiful? Beautiful on the inside, which helps with the exterior.

What color is your bathroom? Light blue.

Who's your all-time favorite American Idol candidate? I'm sorry but it really is Taylor Hicks.

What did you have for breakfast? Low-carb multi-grain toast w/low-fat peanut butter on it.

What's your favorite item of clothing? Black Gucci dress.

What one toiletry item could you not live without? Lip balm.

Better role model: GIJoe? Barbie? The offspring of those two would be a better choice.

Each FishbowlDC Interview subject is asked to contribute a word to this ongoing thread. Thus far we have..."Leprechaun suits shimmer Sensenbrennerly. Never regurgitate..." originate!
