The New York Observer has word that the writer of the juicy Underneath Their Robes blog, which tracked the federal judiciary, is coming to Washington to write for for the D.C. gossip blog Wonkette. David Lat, an assistant U.S. Attorney in Newark, sent out an email saying he was moving to Washington to take a new job.

Lockhart Steele, Gawker.com's managing editor, declined to comment to the Wall Street Journal.

There's no word yet on what the exact breakdown of work/writing/posting on the site will look like, but Wonkgirl Ana Marie Cox, the original author of the site, has been rather publicly looking to move on for a while.
