Rich Families Are More Miserable Than Yours: Sumner Redstone's nephew Michael (no relation to the Marvel character) is suing him for colluding with Michael's father to cut him out of a stake in the family business worth $1 billion. We'd love to be a fly on the wall at that table on Thursday.

Caught on Tape -- Elsewhere: The LAT has been experimenting more with embedded video on its site, and while we applaud the effort, we're curious about the choices. The Michael Richards story was explained much better on TMZ and CNN than on KTLA. You may feel contractually obligated to use KTLA's footage, but why not use the better stuff instead? And, while we're on the topic of Seinfeld, what's the deal with the Alabama bus crash footage on the homepage? It's a bus. It crashed. And it did so in Alabama. What marketing genius thought of that one?

Eat It Up, Fatty: In one of his better columns, Patrick Goldstein takes Hollywood to task for talking out of both sides of its greasy mouth -- using kids' favorite characters to push fast food on fat kids.

He writes:

"I want to make it clear that I'm not part of the nanny police. I'm no vegetarian. I grew up in the South, eating barbecue with my barbecue-loving daddy, and I happily take my 8-year-old son to the Apple Pan whenever he wants a burger. The fast-food companies can sell any food they want. My beef is with studio chiefs who spend their evenings supporting good causes but when they're at the office, dealing with the health of our kids, they apparently leave their consciences at home."
