Starting in November, Tim Cavanaugh will be the Opinion editor for the online LA Times. Cavanaugh leaves Reason behind where he was web editor. His bio there says:

Prior to coming to work for Reason, Cavanaugh edited the late, lamented Suck, which was arguably the first, and was indisputably the most hated, daily content site on the web.

Cavanaugh obviously is well suited to working for the Times, then. He's following Matt Welch, who also abandoned Reason when he became the assistant editor of the Times' editorial page.

FBLA wonders if the hiring practices at the Times will offend Cavanaugh's libertarian principles as much as they did Welch's.
