FishbowlDC has learned that Jim Brady, the former Washingtonpost.com editor who runs TBD, has told colleagues he’s out at the new startup. Here is what we know. Brady told colleagues late today…We hear Publisher Robert Allbritton is planning to grow the company, but wants the emphasis on content – not just technology and aggregation, which are Brady’s strengths.  It appears Brady wanted more control over strategy than Allbritton was willing to grant. The two men disagreed over the best path forward, with one well-placed source saying, “Robert respects Jim – and credits him with helping launch TBD – but apparently wants someone who agrees with his strong belief in content, which is the hallmark of his other media properties,” the source said. TBD Editor Erik Wemple,  former Editor of the Washington City Paper, is taking over, and it appears the rest of the leadership team is staying as well.

TBD, which launched in August, is said to be off to a strong start. Allbritton could not be reached for comment.
