It’s a done deal. The Daily Caller‘s resident couple, reporters Jeff Poor and Caroline May are getting married. Poor proposed to May last night and she accepted. Prior to last night’s engagement, he flew to Nashville to seek her father’s blessing. Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson sent a late-night note to staff with the happy news. If not invited, he plans to crash the wedding.
Congratulations to the couple!
But one question…will she keep her current byline or will there be two Poors?
See the internal memo…
I am thrilled to announce that Caroline May and Jeff Poor are engaged to be married. Jeff flew down to Nashville recently to secure the blessing of Caroline’s father. He asked Caroline to marry him tonight. She accepted, according to Jeff with no hesitation. They are planning a wedding next spring. I’m going, whether invited or not.
Caroline and Jeff have been together for almost two years, and if there’s a model office romance, theirs is it. I’m proud The Daily Caller played a role in bringing them together. I hope this is the first of many happy marriages forged in our offices.
Congratulations to both of them. This is great news, and we could not be more excited.
