“Face the Nation” EP Exits for Vermont

After 27 years at CBS News, Carin Pratt, Executive Producer of “Face the Nation,” is leaving the network. Pratt began her career at CBS News as a researcher for “Face the Nation” in 1984.  In 1993, two years after Bob Schieffer took the anchor seat, she was named Executive Producer.  Pratt has also served as Bob’s producer on many election nights and during the two presidential debates he moderated.

In a memo announcing her departure, Scheiffer said: “Carin Pratt has been a full partner in Face The Nation and my true friend for more than 20 years.  That’s a lot of Sundays to spend together,  and she deserves more than half the credit for what we have achieved in all of those years.  I’m going to miss her more than I can ever say.”

Carin will wrap her last broadcast this Sunday to move to Strafford, Vermont.  Good luck to Carin!
