FBDC Web Ratings Roundup: DC Pubs

Web traffic numbers are in for the month of December, and FishbowlDC checked in with our friends over at comScore to find out which DC pubs are reaching the most people. Below are the web traffic numbers for local and political publications based in Washington. Web traffic was down across the board last month, which is typical for the holiday season. On average, pubs lost 11.5% of their traffic. A few bucked the trend though, and picked up more traffic or held steady. And a few fared far worse than average this month.

Here are the big takeaways: 1) WaPo still has the most dominant online presence out of the pubs surveyed here, with more uniques than all the other pubs combined. 2) Politico and The DC both moved up a notch in the rankings this month, benefiting from TWT‘s dismal performance. 3) Along with TWT, The Hill had the worst performance of the month, losing  3 times as many uniques as WaPo, Politico, or WCP. 4) Washington Examiner had the best month, managing to gain in both uniques and pageviews.
