Well, this should make for an awkward weekend.

FNC’s Greta Van Susteren is firing back at WHCD headliner Jimmy Kimmel after he told Politico that he was holding a grudge against her for ousting comedian Louis C.K. from the Radio & TV Correspondents’ Dinner in June.

By late Thursday afternoon, MSNBC Contributor and The Daily Beast columnist Meghan McCain strangely leaped into the fray. She wrote on Twitter,  “Greta Van Susteren is bringing Lindsay Lohan to the WHC Dinner but takes offense to Louie C.K?”

Asked for her reaction to being criticized by Kimmel and McCain, Van Susteren told FishbowlDC, “I read what Megan McCain and Jimmy Kimmel said. I wasn’t bothered by it because I am sure they do not know what Louis C.K. really said.  No one (including McCain and Kimmel) – other than apparently Louis C.K. – would pick on a disabled child who can’t fight back. Here is a sample of what he said about Trig: ‘Palin had a retard making c***.’ This is way past edgy.”
