Halloran Leaves US News For NPR
US News’ Liz Halloran is leaving US News (where she was senior editor) for NPR, FishbowlDC has learned. She heads over there on December 1, as their Washington Correspondent for the digital news division.
You’ll recall that NPR recently hired a managing editor several months ago — longtime CBS reporter & producer Dick Meyer. He and digital news editor Jeffrey Katz are starting to put a reporting staff together. They’ve hired Linton Weeks, former Washington Post reporter, and now Liz, and more to come. NPR hopes to bulk up its online news offering (hence the recent hiring of their new CEO, Vivian Schiller, who came from NYTimes.com).
