Politico’s Mason Lands Sirius XM Show

Longtime White House reporter Julie Mason is moving to a new medium.  After working in print for 25 years, Mason’s quick wit and winning personality will be properly showcased in the form of a daily radio show on Sirius XM’s POTUS Channel.  Beginning in December, Mason will take to the airwaves each weekday from 12-3 pm as the new host of national talk show “Press Pool.”

“What a thrill — seriously. I was already a fan of the POTUS channel, and taking over Press Pool is blowing my mind,” Mason told FishbowlDC.

Unfortunately for Politico, the demands of Mason’s new stardom will prove too great to keep her on the payroll.  Mason will wrap up her duties as Politico White House reporter and 44 blogger next week.

“It was a tough decision — I love Politico and I am really grateful to John and Jim. They have been extra good to me and I had a blast there. But sometimes an opportunity comes along and you have to go for it,” said Mason.
