U.S. News Fires Christian Lowe

U.S. News & World Report has parted ways with its Managing Editor Christian Lowe. Details are still unfolding, but this was not an amicable departure. If our inbox is any indication, there are some happy souls over in Georgetown.

So far neither the masthead nor his LinkedIn profiles have been updated.

Update: We have changed the headline from “parts ways” to “fires” due to the more specific nature of the split.

Update 2: We’re hearing Lowe is quite the “screamer.” And this: “Reasons include very low morale, high staff turnover, as well as Lowe’s terrible management tactics and terrible treatment of other human beings who worked for him.”

Update 3: “Pressure on reporters to help produce page views, etc. but difficult and just mean.”
