While much – or some – of the President of the United States’ daily schedule is listed online for public consumption, his private schedule, detailing a more minute-by-minute look at Obama’s day, was the focus of a recent piece by Yahoo News’ Olivier Knox.
“It’s a document so closely held that Obama aides, like their counterparts under George W. Bush, are expected to dispose of it at day’s end in ‘burn bags’ typically reserved for documents so sensitive they cannot be consigned to mere shredding,” wrote Knox.
The private schedule is delivered in hard copy form at 7am to the desks of senior aides and includes a disclaimer showcasing the sensitivity of the document – “This schedule contains sensitive information and is provided for your information only. It may not be distributed, forwarded, or printed without the express written permission of the Director of Scheduling.”
