LA Weekly Nails Naked-Man-on-405 Coverage

In case you hadn’t yet heard, an unidentified naked man wearing only a pair of socks ran onto the 405 north freeway in Los Angeles this morning, before getting off at the Santa Monica Blvd. exit and eventually being apprehended by police.

At this early viral news cycle stage, LA Weekly staff writer Simone Wilson has already won the award for speediest and most comprehensive coverage by a local outlet. Just a few hours in, she’s already shared updates, celebrity tweets, and a great rear view:

Reader comments are also streaking in at a pretty good pace. Luckily, even though the man was reported to have attacked a woman on the exit ramp, no one appears to have been seriously hurt. LOTS more film at eleven, not to mention the possibility of a Sheryl Crow remix on YouTube.
