Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy’ Collapses at USC

Emmy Award winning television “Science Guy” Bill Nye collapsed onstage yesterday during a presentation at USC. The LA Times quotes a student who was in attendance as saying Nye passed out on his way up to the podium, then: “[A]fter about 10 seconds, he popped back up with much gusto and asked everybody how long he was out for and went on with a story about how a similar thing happened to him that morning.”

Nye apparently tried to finish he speech, but was slurring his words badly. His rep told USA Today, “Bill Nye is feeling much better after a good night’s rest. He says he pushed himself too hard after a long day of an early satellite media tour combined with a late night speech. ”

Who knew the guy was still that busy? Last we heard, Nye and Neighbor Ed Begley were in competition to see who could have the lowest carbon footprint. Guess the eco-war got the better of him.
