Drudge Report Stirs Up False EW Batman Controversy

Is it a slow news day over at Drudge HQ? How else to explain the site’s wrong-headed, way-late and tasteless referencing this morning of Entertainment Weekly’s July 20 issue:

This particular issue came out on newsstands and was sent to subscribers a full week before the Aurora, CO tragedy. At this late date, it should in no way be tied to the murderous actions of a deranged movie fan.

The comments at ew.com were disabled for the item teasing this cover, so perhaps the website got an earlier taste of such misguided criticism. But there is no “MAG PROMO DEBACLE” here for Time Warner; just some callous 20/20 revisiting.
