‘Romenesko’ Now Called ‘MediaWire’

All traces of Jim Romenesko have officially been scrubbed from the media blog he started more than a decade ago. Poynter’s media blog formerly known as “Romenesko” is now called MediaWire. As Washington Post’s Eric Wemple notes, “[F]ollowing Romenesko’s resignation, well, you can’t have any more products linked to this iconic name in web-media aggregation, can you?”

Romenesko, the man, resigned last week over public criticism from Poynter’s top brass over what they called improper attribution in his posts. The criticism was widely met with outrage among media watchers across the country. But that support didn’t stop Romenesko’s departure. He’ll now be writing for his own site Jimromenesko.com.
