Tarantino Backs Blood In the Water Documentary: Hungary vs. USSR

Quentin Tarantino and Lucy Liu are the EPs of a documentary film about–no, not competitive knife throwing– water polo.
But it is a bloody water polo match: Hungary vs. USSR in the 1956 Olympics. Brother/sister film makers, Colin Keith Gray and Megan Raney Aarons made Freedom’s Fury, They interviewed surviving members of both teams and arranged and filmed a reunion of the two teams in Budapest in 2002.
David Davis interviewed the filmakers for the AAF newsletter. Best quote:
People think that it’s a little obscure. Once they see the people involved–Mark Spitz, Lucy Liu, Quentin Tarantino–and then they hear that it’s about a struggle for freedom–that instantly resonates everywhere.
