We love magazines. When we open our mailbox and one is sitting inside, it’s a little holiday. Suddenly, we forget that Gene from accounting (maybe) stole our bag of Ritz Bits from the office kitchen. The bad, whatever it is that’s bothering us, just seems to melt away. But the contents aren’t the only thing that make a magazine special. The cover, that piece of art in our hands, is what provokes us to delve into the mystery inside.

With that in mind, we wanted to highlight some of the magazines that are doing something special for the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The art — and it is art — that follows is a reminder of the power of a fantastic cover.
