BuzzFeed Adds Nancy Newman and Jonathan Perelman

BuzzFeed has added two staffers to its team. Nancy Newman has been named vice president of sales marketing and learning, and Jonathan Perelman has been named vice president of agency strategy and development.

Newman comes to BuzzFeed from Yahoo!, where she most recently served as vice president of sales communications, and training. Perelman was most recently global lead for industry relations at Google.

“Nancy and Jonathan come to BuzzFeed from the Internet’s two leading media and advertising companies,” said Jon Steinberg, BuzzFeed’s president and COO. “Both have histories of innovation with internal teams, Fortune 500 brands, and agencies. Add to that their passions for social advertising, and you have two one of a kind leaders to work with our internal business team and partners.”

Newman and Perelman will be based in New York and start later this month.
