Disney to Withdraw ‘Seal Team 6′ Trademark Applications
You read it here first a few weeks ago that Disney had filed trademark applications for “Seal Team6.” Today, the Wall Street Journal reports that the company is withdrawing those applications.
A Disney spokesman said the company was withdrawing the applications “out of deference to the Navy.”
A person familiar with the matter said the company, which owns the ABC television network, is developing a TV show about the elite squad, similar to other fictional dramas about real-life military units, such as “NCIS” and “JAG.”
