Politico reports that, at least for now, The Huffington Post is winning its feud with Rupert Murdoch. The battle between the two was sparked by Murdoch, who — during his testimony — called out HuffPo, saying the site was “mainly just stealing stories from existing newspapers.”
Quite a nice jab by Murdoch. Too bad HuffPo’s Executive Editor, Tim O’Brien, countered with a vicious knockout blow. He emailed Politico the following:
I know that Rupert’s having a hard time remembering everything these days — as the Leveson inquiry shows — but we are busily and happily employing and deploying over 400 journalists, and we recently won a Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, so I’d like to invite him to drop by our newsroom sometime for a visit.
Even Manny Pacquiao is jealous of that left hook.
