Jacque Reid Added as Host to WNBC’s New York Live Lineup

Last week, New York Live (formerly LX New York) made the switch to 3 p.m. and now has a third host, joining Jane Hanson and Sara Gore.

Jacque Reid is familiar to BET viewers where she was that network’s lead news anchor on the Nightly News from 2001 to 2005.

Now as a trio, New York Live offers viewers a heavy daily dose of celebrity news and interviews, lifestyle choices, and the latest fashion trends.

”We are more than thrilled to have Jacque as part of our team,” says Amy Rosenblum, New York Live executive producer. “Jacque brings a great spark to the show with her outspoken commentary and great personality. She is a terrific new addition and will make the show even better than ever.”

Reid, 36, was a regular guest host on The View, and a correspondent for the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show.

”I’m very excited to be a part of the already wonderful team at New York Live,” Reid says. “I already feel at home working with the crew and I love the great variety of guests I get to interview.  The chemistry that we share on set and behind the scenes really takes the show to new heights.”

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Reid earned a Bachelor’s degree in Print Journalism from Clark Atlanta University. She later received her Masters in Broadcast Journalism at Northwestern University.
