Justin Bieber Vanity Fair: On Pace to be Worst-Selling Issue in 12 Years

Apparently Vanity Fair readers are not Beliebers. When we learned back in December that the magazine was going to put Justin Bieber on the cover, we were curious to know what it was going to look like. Turns out, it didn’t matter.

WWD is reporting that the March issue with Bieber on the cover is on pace to become Vanity Fair’s worst-selling issue in 12 years. As of now the issue has only sold 246,000 copies, making it the worst since Will Smith’s July 1999 issue only moved 202,701 copies.

At least Vanity Fair is maintaining a bit of a sense of humor about the bomb. A Spokesperson said of the Bieber issue, “Who knew 12-year-olds didn’t buy magazines?”
