The creators of GUM magazine have created something called Lemon, "Pop Culture with a Twist," and a magazine with "no real boundaries" welcoming "downtown hipsters," "suburban workaday warriors" and "vampires," according to its publisher's letter. And our favorite pseudonym in quotations, "JT Leroy" drops by to pen the last-page column, "The Real JT," and, once again, the "irony" is spewed thicker than an extreme mountaineer's obituary.

How do you step out of being in a wax museum of folks that seem authentic only in their imagined familiarity?
