Reuters Photographer Suspended For Doctoring Beirut War Image
Reuters has suspended photographer Adnan Hajj and killed his photo [above, middle] of Beirut after admitting "photo editing software was improperly used" to alter the image. As UnBeige notes, Hajj a reputation for blowing extra smoke into his images of war-torn Beirut. Reuters' head of PR Moira Whittle issued this statement: "Reuters has suspended a photographer until investigations are completed into changes made to a photograph showing smoke billowing from buildings following an air strike on Beirut. Reuters takes such matters extremely seriously as it is strictly against company editorial policy to alter pictures." Email This Post |
