Tina Gaudoin has been named the editor of the Wall Street Journal's new high-end lifestyle magazine, which is scheduled to launch Sept. 6, 2008. ''I look forward to bringing the world of The Journal reader to life, with the help of intelligent reporting, arresting visuals and a sense of humor,'' said Ms. Gaudoin in the press release.

Today, The Wall Street Journal named Tina Gaudoin, editor of the Journal's new high-end lifestyle magazine, which is scheduled to launch Sept. 6, 2008.

Ms. Gaudoin will work closely with the Journal's news department and will oversee all editorial content that will appear in the publication. Additionally, she will develop a core team of magazine journalists and report to Mike Miller, deputy managing editor of The Wall Street Journal.

''The magazine will provide the kind of quality editorial content that readers expect of the Journal, in new ways that will entertain and inform the Journal's affluent and influential audience,'' said Marcus W. Brauchli, managing editor of The Wall Street Journal. ''Tina truly understands this niche and is well known with luxury readers and advertisers. She brings a valuable set of skills to the Journal from her extensive career in the magazine world that will greatly contribute to this new initiative.''

The Journal's magazine, a smart, informed, discerning glossy will offer our readers captures an intimate view of the world of wealth, from personalities, luxury goods and travel, to philanthropy, collectibles and investing. It will extend the Journal's highly successful business of life franchise and will showcase the Journal's lifestyle coverage

Additionally, Tomaso Capuano, Times of London art director, will work with Ms. Gaudoin to develop the design of the magazine. Mr. Capuano was the award winning designer of the "How to Spend it" magazine.

Since June 2007, Ms. Gaudoin was the editor of the quarterly magazine, The Times Luxx. She joined The Times of London in 2003 as the style director of its Saturday magazine.

Ms. Gaudoin began her career at Tatler as a beauty editor and in 1992 moved to New York to assist on the re-launch of Harpers Bazaar. During her time in New York, she also worked at Vogue as a senior writer and then as a presenter on Barry Diller's Q2 Channel. Returning to London, Ms. Gaudoin became deputy editor of Tatler before launching the women's magazine Frank. After that, she became editorial director of the iVillage UK Web site.

Ms. Gaudoin is a graduate of Lancaster University and resides in Westport, Conn.
