Miami Herald Runs Ad Congratulating Heat on Championship

LeBron JamesChris Bosh and Dwyane Wade all woke up this morning without a ring. They lost last night to the Dallas Mavericks, even though when James and Bosh came to Miami, all three of them danced like idiots and proclaimed that they’d win six or seven titles. Somehow – as if they had to play the games first – it just didn’t happen for them.

While it must’ve been difficult waking up today and facing that, at least they can take solace in the fact that their local paper – the Miami Herald – remains unconvinced by reality, and has run an ad congratulating them on winning the championship.

The Macy’s ad in the paper’s sports section has t-shirts with a ring and the NBA trophy on them, along with copy reading, “Congratulations Miami! Celebrate the 2011 NBA champions with official merchandise from Adidas!” If that’s not bad enough, the ad also runs directly below a story about the Heat losing.

The Miami Herald: as confused by the Heat’s loss as James, Bosh and Wade are.
