New York Times Offers Glimpse of Massive Site Redesign

The New York Times’ site is getting a major overhaul. We’re not sure exactly when just yet, but the company now has a preview up for your viewing pleasure. Over the next few weeks, the paper will allow a select few readers to peruse the new site. If you want to be one of them, just sign up at the bottom of the Times’ preview page.

Based on what little we can see, we’re excited about the new look. It’s much cleaner and it’s easier to navigate sections. Comments are just a click of the mouse away, and you can even personalize the site’s layout to your liking. To summarize: The new site will look a lot like the Times’ web app that debuted in October of last year. We actually prefer that web app to the Times’ iPad app, so we’re happy the new site is sort of mimicking it.

Enough about what we think of the new site. How about you?
